    The Cube Add-On integrates everything you’re already familiar with in Microsoft Excel to the data stored in Cube. Use the Cube Add-On to create reports, and analyze and update your data directly in Excel.

    Bring relevant rows and columns of the latest data from Cube for your reporting or send new data back to your Cube from your spreadsheet.

  • Can I keep my existing models and back-end logic?

    Yes. Use the Cube Add-On to bring values from a defined row or column of these criteria to start working in a blank spreadsheet or an existing model quickly.

    You can store formulas in Cube as criteria to ensure accuracy as team members work across models or leave them directly in your spreadsheet.

  • How does data governance work with the Microsoft Excel and Cube integration?

    The Cube Add-On tracks changes made as you work in your spreadsheet using the Cube Audit Trail feature. This stores all changes made to your Cube data, including the change date, team member, event type, message, values, and information about the submitting document.

  • How long does setting up a Cube and Excel integration typically take?

    Begin using the Cube Add-On for Excel immediately after downloading it from the Cube Portal.

  • We use Excel, but my CEO prefers reports in Google Sheets. How do I get my reports to them without losing the benefits Cube provides?

    Save reports to the Cube Portal as a read-only file or share like any other Excel file. The Cube Add-On connects a spreadsheet to Cube while manipulating data, but is not required to view data after saving it to a spreadsheet.

  • How much control do I have over data permissions?

    While working with your data in the Cube Add-On, use our protective security measures to restrict fetching or publishing data. Apply restrictions to a single row or column—or the whole spreadsheet.

    The Cube Add-On will reflect a team member’s account permissions. If account permissions restrict a team member from a particular action in their account permissions, those criteria will not populate when they use the Cube Add-On.
